On Wednesday morning September 26th, 2001, we were dockside at CannonSport Marina on Singer Island near West Palm Beach. It was a lazy morning for us.  We were onboard enjoying the air conditioning and playing with our computer when we were jolted into the real world!  A clevis pin on a pile driving barge working nearby failed, dropping a large steel beam on the starboard bow of Shearwater .  Fortunately, no one was hurt.

We "enjoyed" ten weeks as guests of Cracker Boy Marina while they repaired the damage. Have a look at some of the work on the Boat Repairs page.
