We are thrilled with anticipation for the 2023 year. Winnie<\/em>, our travel trailer, is ready and eager for the year’s adventures.\u00a0Shearwater V<\/em> has survived months of a modernization project and is ready for local boat travel with the hope of a longer voyage that never happened when we sold her.\u00a0 Finally, we are looking forward to a family voyage with Stu’s kids to the Bahamas on a chartered large sailboat.<\/p>\n

The year started with several trips to our “summer home” at the Winter Haven Moose. This lovely spot is located on the chain of lakes and provides a never ending set of local boat trips, especially when the temperamental Tango Jet Boat, Two To,\u00a0<\/em>is happy and running. Our best trip of the year, so far, was a drive to a local lake where the Cyprus Gardens Ski Team put on an amazing, free, display of water sky and hang gliding.<\/p>\n

We have explored only a small fraction of the Chain of Lakes in Two-To, our aging jet boat. The exploration included many fine meals along the shore – in the never ending search for perfect catfish.<\/p>\n

In May, we Winnie carried us on a late Spring 2023 East Coast trip. From\u00a0July 7 to July 16,<\/strong> we took a family vacation in the Bahamas on the Sailing Catamaran,\u00a0Happy Day,\u00a0<\/em>a 5 cabin floating condo that provided bedrooms for 10 people with room for two more uncomfortable bunks we did not use.<\/p>\n
