Our faithful Travel Trailer, Winnie, was begging to be retired. Years of faithful service and thousand of travel miles were beginning to show the age of the trailer and tow vehicle.
We decided it was time to trade Winnie on a similar size self-powered Class C motorhome. Click here for details. The new motorhome is built on a stout Chevy truck chassis and while stronger and heavier, it gets far better gas milage. Click here to see more of Winnie II.
The sales team “gave” us a Thousand Trails membership, free, for a year. This membership includes free or reduced price stays and RV campgrounds all over the country.
Our first adventure to Peace River east of Winter Haven was far better than the usual first trip – minor plumbing issues, nice place to stay and no real issues.
Josephine (AKA Winnie II, but renamed), our new RV, has a unique combination microwave and oven. Our first test was to bake a loaf of bread. We had some learning difficulties with the oven controls – it isn’t as simple as just turning it on. The result was a usable but not perfect loaf of wheat/barley bread.

In June, we had a family sailing adventure to the US Virgin Islands on board the Solar Winds, a 46-foot Baha sailboat with an amazing 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Click here to enjoy our relive our sailing trip.
Several more trips followed in 2025, including a Shalom Roamers Rally and a search for the perfect Fall Foliage.
