May 6 to 7 – Stu drove to Lake Dallas RV Park, Texas
Stu and Winnie traveled from Boynton Beach to Texas, arriving at the RV park around dinner time on May 7. A quick meal and a good night’s sleep.
May 8 – Lunch with Nicole
We met for a very tasty Pho lunch on campus of Nicole’s university. She had an exam that morning and was working a full shift later that day. I was, as usual, thrilled to see Nicole.
May 9 – Met Joan at airport, then family dinner
Coordinating a family gathering is always a challenge. This one worked perfectly! Rob and Shirley flew into Dallas, Nicole met them, met Carl, and drove to the rented house. After a short relaxation, I picked up Joan at the Dallas airport, and we all met up at Barley and Board on Denton Square. A nice, but loud, dinner.
May 10 – the Graduation
Joan’s new Sony RX-10 with a 600 mm lens drew the images close enough to touch. After Graduation, we all went back to Shirley’s for a relaxing fajitas dinner.
May 11 – Still another graduation dinner
TJ’s family hosted a grilled family dinner at a lovely rental house about 1/2 hour from Denton. The place was HUGH. It was also comfortable, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a view of endless grasslands.
Carl’s family joined the group to help prepare for Carl’s graduation later this year.
