Our campsite at the Outpost RV Resort is an oasis of beauty, quiet, and lovely views.
The campground is newly managed by Karen and Jim who both are interested in providing a lovely comfortable camping experience.
We normally stop someplace in the Orlando area on our first night away from Delray Beach on our RV Camping trips. This is usually a quick overnight stop when we put our last minute packing in its proper small travel trailer home and figure out what we forgot. This year, we decided to choose a destination campground and extend our first stop for a few days to enjoy the area.
Stuart’s 1997 Tango 4+2 returned from years of teaching his grandchildren boating and is sort of running – so we chose to visit the Southern Chain of Lakes, a series of a dozen or so lakes that are connected by canals and a lock system to provide a large variety of boating in smooth, inland waters best suited for a small boat.
The site is very a very generous size and is a “premium” site so it is a bit more expensive and thus avoided by the long-term campers. There is no one on either side of us. We have an expansive view of Lake Mariana, just across the road from the lightly used Winter Haven Regional Airport that appears to close at sunset.
